[vortex] NIC never wakes up from sleep mode

Hi,
I am new to linux. I have a 3c905B 100BaseTX [Cyclone]
and I have installed Mandrake 9.0 initially and now
Mandrake 9.2. When the computer goes to sleep mode,
the NIC never wakes up and I am not able to browse the
internet (DSL) anymore. Is there any fix for this
problem?
